The Sculpture Trail
The famous Sculpture Trail starts from Beechenhurst Lodge in the heart of the Forest.
A gentle 3 mile walk with a number of unique sculptures along the way such as the
'Cathedral', 'Giants Chair' (top left), ‘Observatory’ (bottom left). Beechenhurst
is an ideal place for a family day out with refreshments, an adventure play area

Symonds Yat
Famous for its natural river scenery and magnificent viewpoint is Symonds Yat Rock,
a heavily wooded limestone outcrop some 500 feet above sea level. The area is well
known as the home of the rare and elusive peregrine falcons, which nest high up on
the Coldwell Rocks. This is a great beauty spot and open all year round. A4136 between
Monmouth and Cinderford. Cruises can also be taken with Kingfisher Cruises, which
last 35 minutes, from 11am to 5pm daily from March to October. Call 01600 891063

Wye Valley Walk
The Wye Valley Walk follows the river Wye from Chepstow to its source near Plynlimon.
The walk is about 150 miles long and takes you through the magnificent limestone
gorges of the Wye Valley. En-route you will find many areas of outstanding natural
beauty and sites of scientific interest, as well as many of the famous local historical
attractions, such as Tintern Abbey.
