Nestling in the picturesque village of Clearwell, the Tudor Farmhouse Hotel provides
an ideal setting for a relaxed and tranquil stay within the Royal Forest of Dean
and the Wye Valley. The hotel, reputed to have been originally built in the 13th
century, retains many original features including oak beams and wooden spiral staircases.
There are 20 well-appointed double, twin and family rooms, all with en-suite facilities
and some with four poster beds or Jacuzzi corner baths. All bedrooms have en-suite
facilities, as well as tea and coffee making facilities, direct dial telephones with
baby listening facilities, hairdryers, complimentary water, flat screen televisions
with satellite channels and wireless Internet access. A number of rooms are large
enough to accommodate a z bed or cot which can be hired for a charge of £5 per night.
Children under 6 stay free of charge. Two of our Garden rooms will accommodate those
travelling with pets. The hotel is non-smoking.
Our two AA Rosette candlelit restaurant is both intimate and comfortable with superb
food from our a la carte menu.
Private parties can also be catered for and business guests can hold meetings in
our function room for up to 20 guests.
With mature gardens and a terrace area to enjoy the country air and views, the hotel
can also offer 14 acres of grounds to explore - deemed an area of Special Scientific
Interest due to the rare and varied flora that can be found on the banks and rock
outcrops.
